Rehbinder House furniture museum
This is not a TM Development project. It was made after TMD closed, by Novater Solutions.
In 2024 the Rehbinder House in Rakvere opened the furniture history exhibition “If So Reclined: Luxury and Simplicity from the Middle Ages to the Luther Factory”. Most of its funding came from the Heritage Board’s museums accelerator.
Novater made two installations for it. The first is a depth-camera trompe-l’œil showing how manor houses were built as an enfilade, so you can see through one room into the next. It is made in Unity using a 3D model of Udriku manor: as visitors move in front of the screen, the viewpoint shifts and the rooms open up one behind another.
The second is a classicism-era style “magic mirror” that follows what people in the room are doing.
